Chandra's Cabin was extremely cozy and serene! It's a great spot to relax by the fire, enjoy the lake and take advantage of the local hiking trails.

Chandra’s A Frame cabin is a total gem in the heart of the Adirondack Park. I can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we pulled in the driveway, we were blown away. Perfectly secluded and nestled off the road with plenty of driveway to park in. When you walk into the front door, it felt just like we were at home. Truth is, the first thing we did when we arrived was take our two huskies down to the dock and take the unbelievable view in of Stoner Lake. A view we never got sick of! Chandra’s place has everything you need for a few day stay or a multi week stay! Right away you can tell the upgrades that have been done on the inside as well as the outside of the cabin. Modern kitchen appliances, huge skylights & beautiful woodwork inside make it feel cozy and very big. We are so fortunate to have found Chandra’s place. We love bringing our dogs with us when we travel and they loved staying here too. We will definitely be back the future! Thanks so much for having us!

A really beautiful lakeside getaway! The cabin was gorgeous and Chandra has thought of everything to make the place welcoming and feel like you’re right at home. We had a few hiccups (all our fault!) and Chandra was always super prompt and helpful with her responses and made sure we had the best stay possible. The one thing I wish we had known before we booked the trip was that she recommends bringing you’re own drinking water, as the tap water has a bit of sediment in it from the lake. Once we were all settled in, though, it was a great place to get away from the city for the weekend and enjoy some peace and quiet!

We had a wonderful & relaxing stay! The A-Frame was absolutely perfect & so cozy. We have so many things that stood out for us with this rental- loved being so close to the water, spent lots of time on our SUP and the kayaks available, great dock, beautiful setting & view, loved the screened in porch- perfect for playing cards, clean, the coziest little a-frame, loved the fire area up near the cabin, so great to have a washer & dryer & most important the perfect setting for us to unplug and just be with each other. Chandra was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed- thank you Chandra!

Chandra's cozy A-frame cabin was every bit the winter wonderland that my wife and I were hoping for. The A-Frame is right on the lake edge with a spectacular view of the surrounding area. The interior was clean and well furnished, with lots of comfort in mind. The fire pit outside is great for cozy nights and star gazing late night. Its location is right at the end of the road, so the area is most tranquil and serene. The over abundance of snow made the whole area incredibly stilled. We both would look forward to staying there again soon!

We had a great winter getaway to Chandra’s place. Her A-Frame cabin is cozy and equipped with everything we needed. The heat works great, even on the coldest of nights. Linens and beds were super comfy. I can’t say enough good things. We will definitely be back to visit!

Chandra's A-frame was the perfect size for our family of four plus our yellow Lab. We had everything we needed for our short stay and enjoyed the magnificent views. Our boys had a ton of fun using the blow-up kayaks as well as playing in the lake. We ended up doing two short hikes while there, Broomstick Lake Trail and Nine Corner Lake Trail. We brought all our food but ended up making the short drive to the Dollar General in Caroga Lake. They have everything there if you forget to bring something. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Stoner Lake and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at this lovely A-frame cabin for a quick mid-week getaway with my 2 sons. Everything was as described and we were super comfortable during our stay. Chandra was super responsive and extremely helpful when we had questions. Twas a great little getaway!

This hideaway is about 4 hours from NYC and a perfect place to unplug for the weekend (even though the cabin had amazing wifi!). The A-Frame looks exactly like the photos and is very serene with the skylights and the lake. Perfect for a couple or small group of friends. I cannot wait to see the cabin in the Summer!

This location was a winter wonderland. It was incredibly beautiful, and quiet. The cabin stayed really warm even though it was freezing out, and they had all of the amenities that we needed! Chandra was very responsive if I had any questions and very friendly. I would definitely come back here in the summer.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in the southern Adirondacks! We loved our stay here, clean and extremely comfortable. Chandra was very responsive and sent a whole list of facts about the place. If you’re interested in hiking, good to know the closest high peak is Cascade (2 hrs 15 min away) but not a tough drive. Would love to stay here again!

We had a lovely week at the A-Frame. The cabin had everything we needed and the outdoor space speaks for itself. Beautiful views, Adirondack chairs around a campfire, a deck to enjoy. The lake is very shallow by the cabin which made swimming a little difficult but we enjoyed floating our way out to deeper water. The loon calls throughout the day did not disappoint. We enjoyed observing the family of four loons daily. We also saw a bald eagle on our first day. Not good news for the loons but still, it was breathtaking. If you are looking for peace, calm, relaxation, this is the place to be. We found some great hikes near by and loved swimming at 9 corners lake. Best part, our pup got to enjoy the week with us. We would absolutely love to stay here again. It felt like home.

The cabin looked just like the pictures. The labels on the switches were appreciated. If you prefer to unpack clothes, there is only a small area of hangers upstairs and a few hooks in the other bedroom. The water is very shallow for a long way, great for kids! The bottom is very mucky so I'd recommended water shoes. The shed had many floats which we took advantage of, but we could only get one kayak inflated so we took turns. Honestly the only disappointment was that while there was a brand new washer/dryer, the dryer only blew cold air and the washer was not fully hooked up. I contacted Chandra who did not address the dryer but said the plumber was coming early in the week for the washer, but he never came. Even if he had, the dryer was the real issue. We packed assuming we could wash clothes half way through so we ended up rewearing clothes and washed underwear in the sink and hung outside to dry since putting it in the dryer proved unsuccessful.

There are so many wonderful things to say about our visit to Chandra's place. Firstly, the place is just beautiful...remote, calm and just the right environment you need for a relaxing vacation. The lake is shallow, beautiful and we loved kayaking amongst the beautiful mountains and magical sunsets. There are a lot of hiking trails and lakes nearby, you're essentially spoilt for choice. Lots of other things to do within an hour, we did go to Saratoga springs but honestly, you could just spend 3-4 days just around the cabin. Secondly, the house itself was amazing, the cabincore of the A-frame is delightful. Chandra had stocked the house with essentials, games, all necessary utensils and cutlery but if you're looking to cook elaborate meals, bring your stuff. Thirdly, Chandra was really proactive in sending us instructions and suggestions, quick and easy to communicate with and overall the experience was perfect. Highly recommended if one is looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

This was a wonderful escape on Stoner Lake! We had a comfortable week in the woods and felt right at home. The cabin had everything we needed and was decorated beautifully with lots of cozy touches. The area is very unique with lots of small hikes to remote lakes and a few local outfitters and eateries, all of which we enjoyed exploring. We did a lot of cooking at home and relaxing on the lake, all of the things needed to do that Chandra has thought of. I dipped in the lake everyday and watched a pair of loons who seemed to like fishing on our side of the lake. Other than the lack of cell phone service it was easy to get around, we loved the cabin, loved the area and hope to go back in summer or fall!

This was an amazing extended weekend for me and my family. Our 4 legged child loved the view, walking, and neighborhood dogs. Definitely on our list to schedule another stay!

The house was beautiful! Located right by the water on the lake it was the perfect location for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The area was quiet and private. The house was beautiful and clean. The internet worked great and we were able to sign into our streaming accounts on the TV. The inflatable kayaks provided by the host kept us busy and worked wonderfully. There are many hiking trials nearby including Kane Mountain, which was a beautiful hike. We had a wonderful stay!

This cabin is the perfect place to disconnect. Completely silent, peaceful surroundings, amazing lake, anything you could ask for for a cabin retreat. Cabin was fully stocked with anything you might need. I was so happy to have found this listing and 10/10 will be back again.

We had an absolutely magical Christmas at Chandra’s beautiful A-frame! The location is stunning and the space is cozy, impeccably decorated, and stocked with high-quality supplies to make you feel right at home. It was incredibly thoughtful of Chandra to decorate for Christmas, and made our time even more special. We were blessed to have snow for our first few days, but always toasty warm and comfortable in the cabin. The frozen-over lake was such a beautiful sight, and hiking the area felt like being in a winter wonderland. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I gifted my parents with a weekend getaway away to Chandra’s place and they loved every minute of it! Super cute home, gorgeous views and top notch communication! They could not say enough about what a great time they had!

We enjoyed a snowy weekend at the cabin in Feb! We didn’t have a chance to enjoy the outdoor area due to the weather, but this place is right on a gorgeous lake and would be lovely in warmer weather too (especially summer).

We stayed here for a winter trip. The A-frame cabin has a great indoor-outdoor space, so easy to relax and unwind. We loved making fires at night, drinking wine on the deck and ice fishing Stoner Lake.

What a magical place. We visited early February and it was a winter wonderland with the lake frozen over and the entire area covered in snow. The cabin itself is beautiful, warm, cosy with a great sun room to watch the sunset. it has everything you could hope for to have a peaceful getaway. 100% would love to come back in the summer to make use of the lake!

What a lovely time! Chandra's cabin is on a beautiful little lake at the end of a dead-end shoreline road. Easy to get to and had a perfect balance of seclusion and privacy without being inaccessible. Chandra provided great recommendations for the area, but we found ourselves not wanting to leave the cabin. In fact, we stayed an extra day because the space was so relaxing! Chandra was very responsive and was an absolute joy to communicate with. The cabin was clean and offered plenty of space for us to lounge around in. The dogs loved their time, too! Being at the end of a long driveway, there were no fears of passing cars and the dogs were able to run around without worry. We had some great snowfall that was stunning! It was bitter cold, too, but the cabin was toasty warm. The whole trip could not have been more perfect...seriously. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at Chandra's A-frame. You will surely not be disappointed. Thank you, Chandra!

This is a slice of peace in the wilderness. Beautiful lakeside setting. Neighbours but not too close. Cute places to pick up supplies nearby and everything you need in Johnstown. Some great walks nearby. Make sure you have the right gear and things to do in case of bad weather.

This gem of a getaway is perfectly situated at the end of the road away from most. We stayed the weekend before Thanksgiving as we were gifted with light frost and a bit of rain, but we intentionally wanted that! The house was warm in both ambiance and temperature; the perfect getaway from the city to unplug and unwind by fire. If you're lucky, I recommend turning off all the inside and outside lights on a clear night for the ultimate star gaze. We'll be returning at a later date!

What a poem of a place! We had an idyllic week in this charming cabin. It’s so peaceful and tranquil and cozy — just the spot to tuck yourself away from all the cares of the world. Chandra is a gracious and accommodating host. When I reached out over some oversight, she was helpful and sought to resolve the issue. She provided very clear instructions, prior and during, to make our stay as smooth and pleasant as it can be. Thanks, Chandra!

Fun getaway for the weekend! Place was cost and provided anything that we needed! Bed was comfortable, pillows were plentiful, fireplace was fantastic and kitchen appliances were great. Loved that we could watch Netflix in the Airbnb and the wifi was perfect! Allowed up to use our cellphones if needed. Loved how quiet it was. Enjoyed having breakfast out back with the stunning view. Everyone in town was friendly as well. Downside - place was surface cleaned. The hidden corners had cobwebs inside the house, which resulted in serious allergies for me. I’m sensitive to dust so that was a bummer. Easy fix if the cleaners take a little time moving the furniture to clean. Overall loved it. Loved the a frame, loved the location and the decor.

The A-frame is a nice little home in a fantastic location. The lake is just a few steps away. There is a picnic table, fire pit, grill (but no propane), and many Adirondack chairs to sit and relax. The area is nice and secluded, so you barely notice the houses nearby. Simply walking on the house's main road felt like a hiking trail. Cell reception is good inside the home. The host emailed us the day before our stay to "remind" us that the water was not drinkable but there was some in the refrigerator. This information was not in the description, and I would've liked to have known that a little sooner. Unfortunately, there was no water in the fridge. Additionally, the washing machine works, but the dryer does not heat up. Despite these issues, we had a lovely time overall. It was easy to rest, relax, and renew.

My husband and I just got married last week so we considered this trip to be our “mini-moon.” This was a great place to relax, unplug and unwind. We loved that we could bring our dog and she loved going on short hikes with us! The listing photos are accurate however I do think it could have been a bit cleaner in areas. My biggest issues are that the listing does not have pictures of the bathroom (it’s somewhat small but fine for just two of us) and does not mention that you need to bring your own drinking water. We found that out the day before check-in via email. It wouldn’t have prevented us from booking this place, but it felt a bit deceiving to only find that out 24 hours in advance, especially because we drink a lot of water. If we were planning to do longer hikes we definitely would have needed more. Overall we had a nice time and the view really is spectacular.

Gorgeous lakeside view! Great spot for an off-the-grid escape (but with internet)! Listing photos were accurate and host is super communicative! Heaters & TV work well. The heating pipes are very loud in the second bedroom if you are sensitive to sound. We loved our stay and would be back - our only small grievances were that for the price point, we wished there was at least a few water bottles and enough wood for one fire provided and that the cabin was a bit more organized and cleaned deeper. I feel that this host could use a better cleaning company, though she said she just switched to someone new so maybe this was a hiccup? Would still recommend and hope to be back!

We had a great winter getaway to Chandra’s place. Her A-Frame cabin is cozy and equipped with everything we needed. The heat works great, even on the coldest of nights. Linens and beds were super comfy. I can’t say enough good things. We will definitely be back to visit!

Chandra's A-frame was the perfect size for our family of four plus our yellow Lab. We had everything we needed for our short stay and enjoyed the magnificent views. Our boys had a ton of fun using the blow-up kayaks as well as playing in the lake. We ended up doing two short hikes while there, Broomstick Lake Trail and Nine Corner Lake Trail. We brought all our food but ended up making the short drive to the Dollar General in Caroga Lake. They have everything there if you forget to bring something. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Stoner Lake and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at this lovely A-frame cabin for a quick mid-week getaway with my 2 sons. Everything was as described and we were super comfortable during our stay. Chandra was super responsive and extremely helpful when we had questions. Twas a great little getaway!

This hideaway is about 4 hours from NYC and a perfect place to unplug for the weekend (even though the cabin had amazing wifi!). The A-Frame looks exactly like the photos and is very serene with the skylights and the lake. Perfect for a couple or small group of friends. I cannot wait to see the cabin in the Summer!

This location was a winter wonderland. It was incredibly beautiful, and quiet. The cabin stayed really warm even though it was freezing out, and they had all of the amenities that we needed! Chandra was very responsive if I had any questions and very friendly. I would definitely come back here in the summer.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in the southern Adirondacks! We loved our stay here, clean and extremely comfortable. Chandra was very responsive and sent a whole list of facts about the place. If you’re interested in hiking, good to know the closest high peak is Cascade (2 hrs 15 min away) but not a tough drive. Would love to stay here again!

We had a lovely week at the A-Frame. The cabin had everything we needed and the outdoor space speaks for itself. Beautiful views, Adirondack chairs around a campfire, a deck to enjoy. The lake is very shallow by the cabin which made swimming a little difficult but we enjoyed floating our way out to deeper water. The loon calls throughout the day did not disappoint. We enjoyed observing the family of four loons daily. We also saw a bald eagle on our first day. Not good news for the loons but still, it was breathtaking. If you are looking for peace, calm, relaxation, this is the place to be. We found some great hikes near by and loved swimming at 9 corners lake. Best part, our pup got to enjoy the week with us. We would absolutely love to stay here again. It felt like home.

The cabin looked just like the pictures. The labels on the switches were appreciated. If you prefer to unpack clothes, there is only a small area of hangers upstairs and a few hooks in the other bedroom. The water is very shallow for a long way, great for kids! The bottom is very mucky so I'd recommended water shoes. The shed had many floats which we took advantage of, but we could only get one kayak inflated so we took turns. Honestly the only disappointment was that while there was a brand new washer/dryer, the dryer only blew cold air and the washer was not fully hooked up. I contacted Chandra who did not address the dryer but said the plumber was coming early in the week for the washer, but he never came. Even if he had, the dryer was the real issue. We packed assuming we could wash clothes half way through so we ended up rewearing clothes and washed underwear in the sink and hung outside to dry since putting it in the dryer proved unsuccessful.

There are so many wonderful things to say about our visit to Chandra's place. Firstly, the place is just beautiful...remote, calm and just the right environment you need for a relaxing vacation. The lake is shallow, beautiful and we loved kayaking amongst the beautiful mountains and magical sunsets. There are a lot of hiking trails and lakes nearby, you're essentially spoilt for choice. Lots of other things to do within an hour, we did go to Saratoga springs but honestly, you could just spend 3-4 days just around the cabin. Secondly, the house itself was amazing, the cabincore of the A-frame is delightful. Chandra had stocked the house with essentials, games, all necessary utensils and cutlery but if you're looking to cook elaborate meals, bring your stuff. Thirdly, Chandra was really proactive in sending us instructions and suggestions, quick and easy to communicate with and overall the experience was perfect. Highly recommended if one is looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

This was a wonderful escape on Stoner Lake! We had a comfortable week in the woods and felt right at home. The cabin had everything we needed and was decorated beautifully with lots of cozy touches. The area is very unique with lots of small hikes to remote lakes and a few local outfitters and eateries, all of which we enjoyed exploring. We did a lot of cooking at home and relaxing on the lake, all of the things needed to do that Chandra has thought of. I dipped in the lake everyday and watched a pair of loons who seemed to like fishing on our side of the lake. Other than the lack of cell phone service it was easy to get around, we loved the cabin, loved the area and hope to go back in summer or fall!

This was an amazing extended weekend for me and my family. Our 4 legged child loved the view, walking, and neighborhood dogs. Definitely on our list to schedule another stay!

The house was beautiful! Located right by the water on the lake it was the perfect location for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The area was quiet and private. The house was beautiful and clean. The internet worked great and we were able to sign into our streaming accounts on the TV. The inflatable kayaks provided by the host kept us busy and worked wonderfully. There are many hiking trials nearby including Kane Mountain, which was a beautiful hike. We had a wonderful stay!

This cabin is the perfect place to disconnect. Completely silent, peaceful surroundings, amazing lake, anything you could ask for for a cabin retreat. Cabin was fully stocked with anything you might need. I was so happy to have found this listing and 10/10 will be back again.

We had an absolutely magical Christmas at Chandra’s beautiful A-frame! The location is stunning and the space is cozy, impeccably decorated, and stocked with high-quality supplies to make you feel right at home. It was incredibly thoughtful of Chandra to decorate for Christmas, and made our time even more special. We were blessed to have snow for our first few days, but always toasty warm and comfortable in the cabin. The frozen-over lake was such a beautiful sight, and hiking the area felt like being in a winter wonderland. We can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed a snowy weekend at the cabin in Feb! We didn’t have a chance to enjoy the outdoor area due to the weather, but this place is right on a gorgeous lake and would be lovely in warmer weather too (especially summer).

We stayed here for a winter trip. The A-frame cabin has a great indoor-outdoor space, so easy to relax and unwind. We loved making fires at night, drinking wine on the deck and ice fishing Stoner Lake.

What a magical place. We visited early February and it was a winter wonderland with the lake frozen over and the entire area covered in snow. The cabin itself is beautiful, warm, cosy with a great sun room to watch the sunset. it has everything you could hope for to have a peaceful getaway. 100% would love to come back in the summer to make use of the lake!

What a lovely time! Chandra's cabin is on a beautiful little lake at the end of a dead-end shoreline road. Easy to get to and had a perfect balance of seclusion and privacy without being inaccessible. Chandra provided great recommendations for the area, but we found ourselves not wanting to leave the cabin. In fact, we stayed an extra day because the space was so relaxing! Chandra was very responsive and was an absolute joy to communicate with. The cabin was clean and offered plenty of space for us to lounge around in. The dogs loved their time, too! Being at the end of a long driveway, there were no fears of passing cars and the dogs were able to run around without worry. We had some great snowfall that was stunning! It was bitter cold, too, but the cabin was toasty warm. The whole trip could not have been more perfect...seriously. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at Chandra's A-frame. You will surely not be disappointed. Thank you, Chandra!

This is a slice of peace in the wilderness. Beautiful lakeside setting. Neighbours but not too close. Cute places to pick up supplies nearby and everything you need in Johnstown. Some great walks nearby. Make sure you have the right gear and things to do in case of bad weather.

This gem of a getaway is perfectly situated at the end of the road away from most. We stayed the weekend before Thanksgiving as we were gifted with light frost and a bit of rain, but we intentionally wanted that! The house was warm in both ambiance and temperature; the perfect getaway from the city to unplug and unwind by fire. If you're lucky, I recommend turning off all the inside and outside lights on a clear night for the ultimate star gaze. We'll be returning at a later date!

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to stay in. It was a peaceful weekend which was exactly what we were looking for.

What a poem of a place! We had an idyllic week in this charming cabin. It’s so peaceful and tranquil and cozy — just the spot to tuck yourself away from all the cares of the world. Chandra is a gracious and accommodating host. When I reached out over some oversight, she was helpful and sought to resolve the issue. She provided very clear instructions, prior and during, to make our stay as smooth and pleasant as it can be. Thanks, Chandra!

Fun getaway for the weekend! Place was cost and provided anything that we needed! Bed was comfortable, pillows were plentiful, fireplace was fantastic and kitchen appliances were great. Loved that we could watch Netflix in the Airbnb and the wifi was perfect! Allowed up to use our cellphones if needed. Loved how quiet it was. Enjoyed having breakfast out back with the stunning view. Everyone in town was friendly as well. Downside - place was surface cleaned. The hidden corners had cobwebs inside the house, which resulted in serious allergies for me. I’m sensitive to dust so that was a bummer. Easy fix if the cleaners take a little time moving the furniture to clean. Overall loved it. Loved the a frame, loved the location and the decor.

The A-frame is a nice little home in a fantastic location. The lake is just a few steps away. There is a picnic table, fire pit, grill (but no propane), and many Adirondack chairs to sit and relax. The area is nice and secluded, so you barely notice the houses nearby. Simply walking on the house's main road felt like a hiking trail. Cell reception is good inside the home. The host emailed us the day before our stay to "remind" us that the water was not drinkable but there was some in the refrigerator. This information was not in the description, and I would've liked to have known that a little sooner. Unfortunately, there was no water in the fridge. Additionally, the washing machine works, but the dryer does not heat up. Despite these issues, we had a lovely time overall. It was easy to rest, relax, and renew.

My husband and I just got married last week so we considered this trip to be our “mini-moon.” This was a great place to relax, unplug and unwind. We loved that we could bring our dog and she loved going on short hikes with us! The listing photos are accurate however I do think it could have been a bit cleaner in areas. My biggest issues are that the listing does not have pictures of the bathroom (it’s somewhat small but fine for just two of us) and does not mention that you need to bring your own drinking water. We found that out the day before check-in via email. It wouldn’t have prevented us from booking this place, but it felt a bit deceiving to only find that out 24 hours in advance, especially because we drink a lot of water. If we were planning to do longer hikes we definitely would have needed more. Overall we had a nice time and the view really is spectacular.

Gorgeous lakeside view! Great spot for an off-the-grid escape (but with internet)! Listing photos were accurate and host is super communicative! Heaters & TV work well. The heating pipes are very loud in the second bedroom if you are sensitive to sound. We loved our stay and would be back - our only small grievances were that for the price point, we wished there was at least a few water bottles and enough wood for one fire provided and that the cabin was a bit more organized and cleaned deeper. I feel that this host could use a better cleaning company, though she said she just switched to someone new so maybe this was a hiccup? Would still recommend and hope to be back!
